I'm docking a little over a star for these because of a bad odour that has been coming from the curtains since purchase. It's hard to describe - stale, musty maybe. It reminds me of a kid years ago from primary school who we nicknamed "Stinky" (kids are wonderful). It's awful though and despite airing the room frequently it seems to return on sunny days. My guess is that the smell is from the factory or someone working there as most reviews don't mention it. I will try getting the curtains dry-cleaned but I'm worried from reviews below that this may damage the curtains. It does annoy me to *need* to dry-clean them immediately.

Furthermore, these curtains do not block all sunlight; I'm using two of them per 48'' panel so they're not stretched taut but the sunlight still lights them up slightly. I live on the top floor of a three-storey house and it gets *very* sunny here. That said, they are a marked improvement from my old curtains. I'm hoping they will keep the room cooler when the warm weather comes.

Lastly, I could only order three of these and I need an additional three to cover the three 48'' bay windows. My roommate ordered another set for me so I'm hoping they do not ship with the bonus smell.

Maytex drapes are a great deal. The look very nice and work well as a room divider. I would recommend them.

These curtains let no light THROUGH them. If you try and use one on a regular window light still comes AROUND it at the edges unless you take some push-pins and pin the edges down tight (this holds for many curtains derp). You really need two for a single window or you may as well hang a black towel up and call it a day.

These don't hang all nice like the picture either (I'm sure if you steamed the curtain thoroughly (with a steamer or perhaps in the bathroom) and then clipped the folds down and let it dry you could get a reasonable result). Personally, I didn't care but I'm not all high class like some people think they are when they choose to buy reasonably priced items and complain about them not having gold fixtures and filigrees. Enjoy the darkness!
